Itacarezinho announces itself from atop the hillside: a stretch of sand that seems to go on forever, coconut palms on one side, open ocean on the other. It's the beach for laying out your towel and doing absolutely nothing. In the afternoon, when the sun beats down, the fresh water of Tijuípe is just minutes away by car.

The longest beach

Praia de Itacarezinho extends for three and a half kilometers and has a special feature: a small waterfall cascades from the forest directly onto the sand. Car access runs through the restaurant, in a private area with paid parking; entry on foot is free.

The warm-water waterfall

Cachoeira do Tijuípe impresses not with height but with its width and pools: a low, broad cascade, rapids, and warm water, with a short trail from the parking area. There's an entrance fee and a restaurant on-site.

Who it's for

For families, for those who don't want a long hike, and for a rest day in the middle of your trip. Those with energy can reach Itacarezinho on foot via the four-beach trail route.
