The morning starts on the balcony. In the Deluxe Suite, the view is of the garden and the mangrove; in the Master, the sea peeks through the Atlantic Forest. Downstairs, a full and varied breakfast is already laid out, and the day can unfold unhurried all the way to the beach, just 100 meters away.

The rooms

The property offers two suites. The Deluxe Suite measures 36 m² and has a balcony facing the garden and the mangrove. The Master Suite is larger, at 45 m², with a partial view of the sea and the Atlantic Forest. It sits 50 meters from the resort's central area, a short distance, but enough to give a bit of breathing room to those who prefer to stay away from the bustle of the pool and the bar.

Breakfast, dining and water

Breakfast is included. For lunch and dinner, the property has the Mãe Josefa restaurant, which serves traditional local dishes made with seasonal ingredients. The menu changes with the season.

The pool is natural water. There is also a sauna, a massage room, a games room and a bar. For those who prefer open water, the resort has a deck for launching kayaks and stand up paddle boards.

One hundred meters from Praia de São José

The resort is in the Villas de São José Condominium, inside the Reserva da Serra Grande, on the BA-001 at km 64. Praia de São José is 100 meters away. On the sand, Oxente Bar runs the beach service, with drinks, cocktails and waiters, and there are chairs, loungers and tables with umbrellas. Ilhéus is 60 km away.

Being inside a reserve comes with a trade-off: the resort does not accept pets.

With children

This is where the property stands out most. A playground, a kids' playroom and a baby pantry share the same grounds, which makes life easier for those traveling with little ones. Children up to 10 years old stay free, limited to two in the parents' room. From age 10, the child rate is charged as an adult rate.

Who it's for

For families who want children's facilities taken care of within the hotel and the beach a few steps away. For couples who prefer to rest, with a sauna, massage and a balcony overlooking the forest. For those who enjoy kayaking and stand up paddle. It is not the choice for those traveling with pets, nor for those who want the bars, restaurants and bustle of central Itacaré at the door: the resort is on the highway, in a condominium, and the idea of the stay is to enjoy the property and the beach next door.
