Praieira Pousada

At eight in the morning the Praieira reception opens, and central Itacaré is already up and about. There's a bakery nearby, a market a few steps away, people heading toward the orla. Inside the house, breakfast, included in the rate, is the first order of business of the day. The rest of the town waits just outside, a few minutes on foot.

Rooms you can sleep in without improvising

Praieira works as a pousada and a hostel at the same time, with private and shared rooms. That means it suits couples, groups and solo travelers who want to share a room to spend less.

The equipment is what the heat of the Bahian coast calls for: air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, Smart TV and fast Wi-Fi. Bed linen, towels and blankets are included. Breakfast and fees are part of the daily rate, with no surprises on the final bill.

The center on foot

Check-in runs from 14h to midnight, and check-out is by 11h. The reception is staffed from 8h to 14h, so guests arriving at night should arrange their entry with the pousada by phone. The house has been open for more than two years, still new in town.

Cancellation is free up to 15 days before the date; after that, 50% is charged.

For travelers who prefer to wake up in the center and do everything on foot: surfers and backpackers, couples with no pretense of luxury, friends sharing a room. For those who want Pituba seven minutes from the door and a pharmacy, bank and market even closer. It's not the place for anyone seeking seclusion, dense forest or the sea in front of the veranda: the choice here is the town, with its bustle.
