Illusionize and Brisotti at Ribeira: The Party of Itacaré Debuts on the Eve of the Holiday

Illusionize and Brisotti headline The Party of Itacaré, a Grupo Toca do Morcego party taking over Praia da Ribeira in the early hours of October 11, the eve of a holiday.

By day, Ribeira is the family beach: a calm cove, a stream that turns into a pool at low tide, the smell of moqueca drifting from the beach huts. On Sunday, October 11, the eve of a holiday, once the last swimmer has headed up the road, the scene changes hands. The forest grows dark, lights come on across the sand, and Itacaré's quietest beach welcomes The Party of Itacaré, which runs through the night.

Illusionize and Brisotti on the sand

The main act is Illusionize, a Brazilian electronic music DJ and producer, announced in September. Then came the confirmation of Brisotti, who shares the night with him. The Bahian press is calling this the first major edition of The Party project in Itacaré.

Toca do Morcego heads down the coast

The party is presented by Grupo Toca do Morcego, the Morro de São Paulo venue known for its sunsets and its nights on the climb up to the Farol. The idea behind The Party, according to the organizers, is to take the party to places that suit each edition, combining music, set design and atmosphere. In Itacaré the chosen address is the Beach Club Terra Boa, on Praia da Ribeira.

Who it's for

For those who love electronic music and want a long, well-produced night in a setting you normally only see by day. The party starts late and goes on until daybreak; since Monday is a holiday, you can keep it going. The ride back to Pituba and the center is short, along Ribeira's paved road.
